2nd Transnational Project Management Meeting for PROMOTE Project in Lisbon

May 26, 2025

From Leiria and M4Pris project to Lisbon and Promote Project.
A Journey of Collaboration and Correctional Innovation

Last week, BrainLog proudly represented Denmark at the 2nd Transnational Project Management Meeting of the PROMOTE Project, hosted in Lisbon on May 14–15, 2025.

Following our participation in the LTTA for the M4Pris project in Leiria, the Promote meeting offered a powerful opportunity to further align strategic objectives and deepen our international collaboration in the correctional education landscape.

Together with our long-term partners – Danish Prison Officers Union -The Danish Prison Union, we shared insights from Denmark’s key role in the data collection phase of the project. Thanks to their invaluable support, Denmark gathered the largest volume of completed surveys across all participating countries – nearly 320 responses! This outstanding achievement was recognized and praised by our partners, who highlighted it as a model of engagement and cooperation at the national level.

The goals of the data collected from the surveys are:
– Identify current and future skills gaps among professionals working with convicted individuals.
– Develop validated occupational profiles that match the actual roles and responsibilities in correctional settings.
– Offer policy recommendations and practical guidelines for improved training, career pathways, and professional development within the sector.

The Promote Project, funded under the Partnership for Excellence – Centers of Vocational Excellence, aims to enhance the professional capacity of correctional staff, introduce innovative and inclusive training practices, and prioritize staff well-being across Europe’s justice and education systems.

We’re excited to contribute to shaping a more effective, humane, and skill-driven correctional environment across the continent.
