On August 29th, Korup Skole in Odense, Denmark, hosted a multiply event as part of the “8 Ways to Eat to Save the Planet” project.
The event ran from 9.00 am to 1.00 pm and brought together students studying to become teachers, along with educators, explore innovative ways to promote sustainable and healthy eating habits through engaging workshops.
The day began with a warm welcome and a guided tour of the school, setting the stage for an insightful and interactive experience. Representatives from BrainLog introduced the project, sharing insights into how small changes in our eating habits can make a big impact on the environment.
The university students then participated in two engaging workshops that truly brought the project’s message to life. In one workshop, they explored the art of drama, where the students were introduced to improvisation techniques. These techniques were designed to help them effectively communicate the importance of sustainability in their future classrooms. Through these creative exercises, participants explored innovative ways to engage students in the topic of sustainable living, making learning both fun and impactful.
The second workshop combined a practical cooking session with an educational presentation. Students from Korup School took the lead, presenting on the differences between healthy and harmful foods. Following the presentation, participants learned how to prepare climate-friendly meals using local, sustainable ingredients, giving them hands-on experience in making positive dietary choices.
The day wrapped up with an online evaluation session, where participants reflected on the day’s experiences. The multiply event at Korup School was a resounding success, combining creative learning with practical experience and concluding with thoughtful reflection. It highlighted the vital role education plays in fostering a greener, healthier future.
