M4Pris Project (Mentoring Programme for Prison Staff) Gains Strong Interest in Bulgaria

We are proud to share that two external Multiplier Events were successfully organized in Sofia, Bulgaria, marking a significant step in extending the project’s impact beyond the official partnership.

The first event took place in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior—Academy for education and training of prison staff, where representatives of the national correctional system explored the M4Pris Peer Mentoring Programme and its potential to support staff resilience and professional development.
The discussions highlighted how the project aligns with current reform efforts in Bulgaria and raised strong interest in adapting the programme nationally.

The second event was hosted with the Directorаtе of the Court Security, involving key decision-makers and staff representatives. This session focused on the practical implementation of mentoring tools developed under M4Pris, with participants expressing enthusiasm for their relevance in strengthening institutional cohesion and workplace well-being.

These events reaffirm the importance of mentoring as a modern, cost-effective response to the challenges faced by correctional staff across Europe. The Bulgarian stakeholders recognized the project’s added value and expressed willingness to explore future cooperation.

We are encouraged by the growing recognition of the M4Pris model in new national contexts and proud to see the project inspiring dialogue and potential adoption across borders.
