Today, PROMOTE partners came together for a productive project meeting to review progress and plan the next steps in the development of our innovative training programme for professionals working across the correctional ecosystem.

We are pleased to announce that the structure of all 10 PROMOTE competence modules has now been established. The next phase focuses on content development, transforming the agreed frameworks into practical, high-quality learning materials that will support professionals across Europe.

As part of this work, BrainLog and Fængselsforbundet i Danmark will collaborate on the development of Module 9: Dynamic Security in Correctional Settings.

This module explores one of the most important concepts in modern correctional practice: how safety and security are built not only through procedures and physical measures, but also through everyday interaction, communication, observation, and professional judgement.

Participants will learn how to:

Apply dynamic security principles in daily practice

Identify early signs of risk, escalation, or relational breakdown

Prioritise preventive actions under operational pressure

Balance relational, procedural, and static security measures

Strengthen team coordination, legitimacy, and emotional resilience

Drawing on the Danish approach to correctional practice, the module will provide practical tools, real-life scenarios, and reflective learning activities that support preventive and relationship-based security.
